Honda Issues Legal Notice to Maruti Suzuki

In the fast growing car industry, the competition among the car manufactures is making news. The rivalry between Honda Siel India and Maruti Suzuki become worst driving the duo to the courtroom.

Honda Siel India, a subsidiary of Honda Motors has issued a legal notice against auto giant Maruti Suzuki, an ancillary of Suzuki Motor Corp. The legal notice is served in response to an advertisement that claims that Maruti Suzuki SX4 from the sedan segment is bigger and carries more features compared to the Honda City.

The Indian car leader Maruti Suzuki advertisement says that the integrated stereo does not come as a standard feature with base model of the Honda City and it also claims that SX4 is bigger and larger in size compared to the City.

Honda Siel India reacts on the advertisement saying Maruti’s allegations make false, inaccurate, and distorted statements that mislead customers and is an attempt to disgrace the all new City that was launched in November 2008.

Honda has demanded Maruti Suzuki to withdraw the advertisement immediately. According to Honda official, “The Company is awaiting the response from the Maruti Suzuki regarding the issue before taking any action including suing for monetary compensation”.
