BMW Launches the All-New BMW 7-Series

BMW introduces the all-new 7-Series with a fresh style and supreme art of engineering. The new car sets a new benchmark in automotive styling and driving experience.

On the launch of new BMW 7-Series, Mr. Peter Kronschnabl, President, BMW India said, “The arrival of the new BMW 7 Series marks the beginning of a new era in automobile design. Pioneering Innovations, Stylish Design, Luxurious Comfort, and Elegant Functionality of the all-new BMW 7 Series offers a superior driving experience quite unlike anything else in the luxury class. Our objective is to turn the fifth generation of the 7 Series into the most successful one of all time.”

The new BMW 7 Series will be available in three variants - 730Ld, 740Li and the 750Li. At present only the 750Li has been introduced in the Indian car market and the other two variants will be launched by mid 2009.

The visual appeal of the car is beautified with sculptural surfaces, flawless lines, dynamic proportions, and the low slung kidney grille. In the interior, the new BMW 7-Series is equipped with state-of-art technologies and innovative car features that include Integral Active Steering, Head-Up Display, Black Panel technology, and Brake Energy Regeneration. Other features contributing to the elegant functionality of the new 7-Series are Runflat car tyres, i-Drive concept, and 10.2-inch display with enhanced resolution.

Priced at about Rs. 93,30,000 (ex-showroom price across India), this new BMW car will be available in an assortment of eight paint finishes and eight upholstery designs. However, the prices of the remaining two variants will be announced at the time when they are introduced in the market.

According to BMW, the 7-Series since its inception has won appreciations and accolades from car buyers across the country. In the year 2008, the company has successfully sold 311 units in India against only 251 units in 2007.

On account of this success, Mr. Peter Kronschnabl, President of BMW India commented, “Of course, we plan to continue this trend. In simple terms, this means that we want to sell even more 7 Series automobiles over the model’s entire lifecycle, compared with its predecessor. I am convinced that this car has everything it takes to achieve this goal.”

With the all-new BMW 7-Series introduced in the Indian car market, the company desires to see a further increase in the car sales this fiscal.
