Ferrari launches the new Formula One Car christened as F60. The launch of the car is aimed at winning over on its rival team. In the last season race, Ferrari's driver Felipe Massa lost to Lewis Hamilton with just one point and with this new F1 car launch Ferrari hopes to reclaim the championship.

The car is named F60 to coincide the celebration of Ferrari's 60th year in F1. The car was tested by Massa on the Mugello track. Usually the team tests all its new cars on its home track in Fiorano, but snowy weather conditions forced a change this year.

The F60 is tagged as Ferrari's 55th F1 car since the car manufacturer has made its entry in F1 sports in 1950. The new car is launched with wider fronter wings and higher and narrower rear wings. It also features a kinetic energy recovery (KERS) system that reduces the amount of carbon dioxide emissions without affecting the performance of the car. The car is designed in accordance to the defined rules and formulas of F1.

The first official tests of the new F60 are to be done at Portimao, Portugal, with the other F1 teams from January 19-22.
