After receiving good sales volume for the month of January, Maruti Suzuki expects sales growth of nearly 5-7 percent this month.

According to Shashank Srivastava, Maruti Suzuki India Chief General Manager (Marketing), “The company recorded high sales in the month of January and are expecting further sales growth in the current month”.

The company has also increased the production capacity in order to meet the growing demand. At the Manesar and Gurgaon plants, the models are being produced in excess as car models like the DZiRE, SX4, and the A-Star have a long waiting list amongst the customers.

With a strong car dealership network across the country, the company further plans to expand the dealership to strengthen its position in the market. Currently, Maruti Suzuki holds 600 dealers and in a span of 2-3 years it is expected to reach 1,000 in numbers.

MSI has received export orders of about 23,000 units for its latest model A-Star for the period of January-March. The company has already exported 9,000 units of the global car ‘A-Star’ since its launch.
