The luxury car manufacturer Audi is thinking big with new launches. As a mark of centennial
celebration the car manufacturer is expected to launch more than seven new models globally by 2010..These models will also include hybrid version and ‘zero emission’ diesel versions. Though not all, but some of these upcoming Audi models are expected to hit the Indian shores too.
According to Audi Corporate Strategist Josef Schoen, ‘The year 2009 is very special for Audi, as it has turned 100 year old. The company is also planning to double its product line to over 40 by 2015. The new launches would start with the zero-emission Q7 sedan A4 US and Europe respectively’.
The company is also focusing on other fuel options like hybrid and electric cars. It is expected to launch the first Q5 hybrid by 2010. The new upcoming models awaited in the market are A1, A4 Allroad, A5 SB, A7, R8 Spider and one SUV. Indian car market too will experience these new models based on the Indian customers' needs and preferences.
Currently Audi is concentrating on Q5, a compact SUV for India, which will be launched there in June this year.
