In every cinema, national or international, drama or action, or even an animated picture, the presence of cars is strongly felt. In today’s cinema, cars have come to be strongly associated with the character of the protagonist. The usage of classic cars to symbolise dignity and passion is a classic example of this.

In line with this theme, the Ford Gran Torino makes a splash on the big screen in a movie named after it. The new film ‘Gran Torino’, starring legendary Hollywood superstar Clint Eastwood, is releasing in cinema halls across India on Friday, 13th March. After his last performance in the movie ‘Million Dollar Baby’ four years ago, Clint Eastwood returns in a lead acting role in this movie which is also produced and directed by him.

The film’s central character, played by Eastwood, portrays as an aged, iron-willed, and inflexible Korean War veteran, sustaining in a changing world, who is forced by his immigrant neighbours to confront his own long-held prejudices. The Gran Torino he hides away in his garage reflects the hidden nature of his veiled and wounded soul.

The Gran Torino has seen huge success at the US box-office and is set to be showcased worldwide. It will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company, and in select territories by Village Roadshow Pictures. It is a Warner Bros. Pictures production in association with Village Roadshow Pictures, Double Nickel Entertainment, and Malpaso Production.
