According Rod Wallace, Managing Director, Precision Cars India, “The Cayenne Diesel is intended primarily for the European market but we saw a tremendous demand for the car from all over India. It has always been the aim of Precision Cars India to ensure our customers have the same options as any Porsche customer anywhere in the world. And here we are, offering the latest Porsche offering to our customers in India”. The diesel version will be produced in limited numbers in India with only 19 cars.

The new Porsche Cayenne Diesel will carry the same exterior looks as of the petrol version. The diesel version of Cayenne which flaunts its supreme economy is powered by a 3-litre V6 engine and a six-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission. Just like the petrol version, the Porsche Cayenne diesel offers the PSM (Porsche Stability Management) but specifically tuned to the specifications of the diesel engine, while intelligent PTM (Porsche Traction Management) provides an ideal symbiosis of very good on-road and off-road driving qualities, spreading out engine power appropriately between the front and rear wheels.

Just like other variants of Cayenne range, the new diesel gives the driver a choice of standard or a sports set-up by way of the Sports Button. In the sports mode, the engine responds even more directly and impulsively. The diesel version gets further additions and comes with a price tag of Rs 6,49,50,000 which is inclusive of the import duties and taxes.

The new Porsche Cayenne Diesel will be also covered by world’s best designed roadside assistance programme ‘Porsche Assistance’ for 24 months.
