Indian Car Exports Rise by 57 percent

During the present era global car manufacturers are struggling to boost car sales whereas Indian car manufacturers are rejoicing and expanding their presence in overseas market. Car exports from India register whopping 57.04% growth in the financial year 2009.

According to the reports released by SIAM, passenger car exports from India stood at 3,31,539 units in 2009 compared to 2,11,112 units in the previous financial year.

The company's largest car exporter, Hyundai, has witnessed a growth rate of 63% in car exports that accounts for 2,35,345 units exported in 2009 as against 1,44,440 units in the year 2008. The leading domestic car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki, registers a growth of 32.58% in car exports that stood at 68,834 units in 2008-09 as compared to 51,916 units in the previous fiscal.

According to SIAM reports the overall vehicle exports from Indian rose by 23.60% at 15,30,660 units in this fiscal as against 12,38,333 units in the previous fiscal.
