The Mahindra Xylo MPV is now available with anti-lock braking system. This option will be offered only on the top end E8 variant of the Xylo which is sold at a price of Rs 8,18,535 (ex-showroom Delhi). The ABS-equipped Xylo E8 vehicles will be available with all Mahindra dealerships by the end of June 2009.

In a statement released by the senior vice president of marketing for the automotive sector at Mahindra & Mahindra Mr. Vivek Nayer said, "The anti-lock braking system has been offered as an option on the Xylo E8 on the basis of customer feedback and suggestions. The Xylo is now safer with the ABS. Depending on the demand for the ABS system, we will introduce it in other variants."

Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) improves vehicle stability by preventing the wheels from locking during hard braking. It is safer even on skid-prone surfaces like the snow, water, loose gravel, or even oil.

The Xylo has been a runaway success since its launch in January 2009 with bookings crossing the 16,000 mark. The Xylo offers unique features like Flat bed front seats, Digital drive assist system, foldable flight trays, reverse park assist, and surround cool dual air conditioning system.

Mahindra & Mahindra also sells well known SUV Scorpio and MUV Bolero in India.
