Maruti Suzuki has announced the release of the new edition of the high end SUV Grand Vitara. The car is upgraded with a more powerful and larger 2.4-litre petrol engine with VVT (Variable Valve Timing) technology that can deliver a power of 163.5 bhp. The new Grand Vitara 2.4 is being offered in two variants: 5-speed Manual Transmission and 4-speed Automatic Transmission.
The 2009 Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.4 is loaded with exciting new features that add style and a bold look. The exquisite interior of the car features a new Multi Information Display (MID) system, a centre speaker on the dashboard, and a 6-CD changer. The MID system allows the driver to get information on the cruising range, average speed, and instantaneous fuel consumption with “low-fuel” warning. All these add up to enhanced user convenience and driving comfort. There is now a sliding centre-console armrest for added passenger comfort. The stylish new front grille and bumper give the SUV an urbane look and the 17 inch alloy wheels add dynamism.

The SUV is available at all Maruti Suzuki dealerships with immediate effect. The manual transmission version of Grand Vitara comes at a price of Rs 16.67 Lakh and the automatic at Rs 17.97 Lakh.
