Ford India has appointed N Raja as its Vice-President, Sales, effective from April 1. Raja reports directly to Nigel Wark, Ford India’s Executive Director, Marketing, Sales and Service, and replaces Timothy Tucker, who was appointed President and CEO, Ford Japan, a press release issued in Mumbai stated.
In his new role, Raja is responsible for delivering the sales and revenue targets for Ford products in the dynamic Indian automotive market, the release said. Prior to this appointment, Raja served as General Manager of Sales, responsible for national sales and field operations across India.
Raja has played a key role in sales planning for Ford line-up and contributed significantly to the recent and successful launch of Ford Figo, developing the Ford India and authorized Ford dealership sales teams pan-India to help bring Figo to its fast-growing customer-base, it said.
“Raja’s leadership, rich experience and knowledge of the Indian car market are great assets to Ford India and will help us continue to build our competitive position in the market,” Wark said.
