M&M Auto Sales Grows By 24 Per Cent in July

Indian auto manufacturer, Mahindra & Mahindra, has reported a surge of 24.31 per cent in total sales at 28,049 units for July this year as compared to 22,563 units sold in the same month of 2009. The domestic sales of the company jumped by 19.79 per cent to 26,303 units in July as against 21,957 units in the same month last year


Total sales of M&M utility vehicles, including Scorpio, Xylo, Bolero and Pick-Ups, increased marginally at 16,720 units against sales of 16,688 units in July, 2009. Logan sedan from Mahindra Renault Pvt. Ltd went a little up by 69.37 per cent to 752 units during the month, compared to 444 units in the same month a year ago.


Light commercial vehicle sales from Mahindra Navistar Automotives Ltd., with sales 1,007 units against 1,019 units in the same month a year ago, registered a decline of 1.18 per cent.


M&M’s exports during the month increased almost over two-fold to 1,296 units against 506 units during July, 2009.
