Toyota Kirloskar August Sales Jump 26 Per Cent

By Motortrend India Staff   |   01 September,2010

Car maker Toyota Kirloskar Motor has reported a 26.09 per cent jump in its sales at 6,361 units during August, 2010. The company had sold 5,045 units in the corresponding month last year, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) said in a statement.

TKM, a joint venture between the world’s largest car maker Toyota and the Kirloskar Group, attributed the growth to healthy sales of its multi-utility vehicle Innova, premium sedan Corolla Altis and sports-utility vehicle Fortuner.

“The Corolla Diesel that was launched in the end of July has lived up to our expectations with around 2,000 bookings since its launch,” TKM Deputy Managing Director (Marketing) Sandeep Singh said.
