Mitsubishi Motors India has launched the much awaited, Lancer Evolution X in India at a Rs. 49.95 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The huge price tag is attached to the car because the Japanese company is importing the Evo X as a completely built unit, thus 110 percent import duties.
The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X is powered by a 4B11T 2.0 litre (1997 cc) turbocharged, all-aluminum, inline 4-cylinder petrol engine that can whip out 276.2 bhp of power. The Lancer Evo X takes just 6.3 seconds to reach the 0-100 kmph mark. Along with the phenomenal engine, the Evo X boasts of an all-wheel drive and an SST gear box (twin clutch).
The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X weighs just about 1675 kg, thanks to the extensive use of aluminum. The Evo X has a titanium turbine wheel in the turbocharger for a sporty response. The sports sedan is 4503 mm long, 1811 mm wide and 1481 mm tall, and has a ground clearance of 135 mm.
The Japanese car maker offers the Evo X with AFS (Adaptive Front Lighting System), which increases illumination during corners and gets activated depending upon the steering and vehicle speed.
The safety features in the Evo X include 7 airbags, driver’s 3 point ELR seatbelt, ABS with EBD, and electronic engine immobilizer among others.
