The Honda ‘Jazz’ to roll out by 2009

Leading Japanese car maker Honda unveiled its ravishing model ‘Jazz’ in the small car segment. The car will be launched commercially by end of 2009. ‘Jazz’ will be priced slightly higher than its rivals, the Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai Getz.

Empowered with a 1246cc SOHC i-DSI, 4-cylinder, engine that delivers 76 bhp and a top speed of 171 km/h, the ‘Jazz’ is an ultimate small four seater with beautiful exterior, widened wheel arches, and windows designed uniquely for better lighting and visibility. The interior is big and classy with a spacious boot; the ‘Magic seats’ adds up the latest technology of comfort. The rear seat can be flipped up for extra space to store more luggages. ‘Jazz’ is expected to roll out with the price tag of Rs 7.5 Lakh.

The all new ‘Accord’ was also part of the Auto Expo in the luxury car segment. This car will hit the roads in India later this year.

Honda has a reputation of delivering great technology, performance, and style and it is, therefore, one of the more popular manufacturers in India. Honda has plans of an initial investment of Rs 1,000 Crore to set up another plant in Rajasthan. This plant will be concentrating mainly on the small car segment starting its production by the end of 2008. The achievement of the HondaCity’ and ‘Civic’ are perfect examples of what the future holds for Honda in India.
