The upcoming Auto Expo has generated much hype among the automobile industry. The little known automobile company Sonalika Group Company's International Cars and Motors Limited does not want to be left behind. This small company has decided to launch a premium car and a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV). The company has entered into partnership with Pininfarina, an Italian design house.

Pininfarina was founded in 1930 by an automobile designer and builder, Battista Pinin Farina. The company soon engaged itself in the car market with exteriors, interiors, and coach building businesses.

In a statement to the media, Mr. Deepak Mittal, Managing Director of ICML, said that the two new vehicles will roll out of their facility in Himachal Pradesh. The plant has a capacity to manufacture 5,000 units per month. The premium car and SUV will come integrated with technology created by Pininfarina. However, the top management did not want to reveal anything about the upcoming cars and the exact details of the investments and the technical specifications of the car remain a mystery.

ICML is also contemplating to launch a refreshed version of their Multi Utility Vehicle (MUV), Rhino RX. The prices for the new Rhino RX, which comes close to the MUV Toyota Qualis, will start from Rs 6 Lakh. Rhino RX competes with other SUV's like the Toyota Innova, Mahindra Scorpio, and Tata Safari. This Himachal based company has managed to sell 500 units of Rhino RX per month in the north-west region of India. The company has roped in 45 dealers in this region and is looking to expand after it has adopted the Euro II norms. ICML also plans to have a large category of passenger cars and vehicles under its badge.
