Fiesta hikes prices to reassess position in market

US car manufacturer, Ford has resorted to re-positioning the pricing of two of its models and has also upgraded some of its models this week. Ford has introduced a redesigned model of its mid-size sedan Fiesta in India. The Ford Fiesta will now be costlier by Rs 5,500. The base model will be available at a price of Rs 5.93 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The new Fiesta cars will carry more standard features like driver-side air bags and turn indicators on the outside rearview mirror. The top-end variant will be equipped with anti-lock brakes, 6-CD changer with 6 speakers, leather upholstery, keyless entry, electric boot release, and driver seat height adjustment.

Fiesta is appreciated by experts in the car industry as a car with superb performance, stability, maneuverability, and driver control.Ford has also upgraded the diesel line-up of the Ford Fiesta Duratorg. The three diesel variants of the car will now be available at the prices starting from Rs 7.03 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Ford is re-strategizing its position in the market and looking to expand its market share by offering an array of features to its customers.
