Mahindra and Mahindra to introduce Smaller Engine

Mahindra and Mahindra is planning to introduce the smaller engines to its utility vehicles. The capacity of the engines will range between 650cc and 750cc. the company will bring the smaller engine for a smaller version of its UV’s. This could be its first step into the small car segment.

The small engine will be designed by the Italy-based engineering and design firm, Engine Engineering Srl. The Italian engineers will design small but yet fuel-efficient engine with Italian technology.

Mahindra Bolero, which is powered by 2.5 litre engine carries the priced tag of Rs 5.28 lakh. Mahindra Logan, a mid-sized sedan, is powered by 1.4 litre petrol engine which is imported from France.

The company has even hired engineers to design the new engine. The Italian engineers will design small but yet fuel-efficient engine that are suitable for small cars with Italian technology.
