India’s biggest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India has become the fourth most reputed car company in the world. It beats its parent company Suzuki Motors of Japan in the list.
According to a list complied by a US based Reputation Institute on “Global 200: The World’s Best Corporate Reputations” list, the Maruti Suzuki India ranked fourth among the world’s most leading auto companies. Japan’s Toyota Motors emerged as the most respected car company in the list.
The survey has awarded a score of 74.38 to Maruti Suzuki India, which is much ahead of the Suzuki 70.44 in global ranking. Suzuki Motors Corporation is awarded with 8th position in the list.
In the overall best corporate reputation, Maruti Suzuki India was given the 77th position among the top 200 companies. Suzuki is ranked at the 139th position.
Even luxury car manufacturer BMW is ranked in 5th among auto companies and 88th in the overall corporate list. The manufacturer of renowned Mercedes-Benz cars, Daimler AG is positioned 6th in auto list and ranked 99th in overall with a score of 72.85.
Renault bagged the 9th position among car companies and is ranked in 142nd in overall corporate reputation, whereas Volkswagen came in close at the 10th position and received ranking of 162nd among 200 companies.
The survey has revealed that Asian companies have left behind the European and US car manufacturers.
