Hindustan Motors Expands Network

Hindustan Motors Limited, a flagship company of CK Birla group has plans to expand its present network of distributors in major cities in the country. The company wants to open six new dealership facilities in major cities by the end of this year.


It has set a target to sell 8,000 units in the ongoing fiscal year. The 44th dealership facility has been launched in Nasik. This facility comes just ahead of the launch of new SUV, the Mitsubishi Outlander in September.


The executive vice-president of Hindustan Motors limited, Mr. YVS Vijay Kumar said, “The Company wants to improve sales by expanding the network of retailers. Six new dealerships will be set in a phased manner and the target will be completed by the end of this year.”


The facility at Nasik will provide all services for customer in the city and in surrounding areas such as Jalagaon, Dhule and Malegaon. The facility will offer services like sales, maintenance and repairs, spare parts and accessories at the same place.


The company has posted an impressive 40 percent growth in the last three consecutive years and hopes to continue the streak in the current fiscal year. Hindustan Motors sold 4,000 units of passenger cars in the last fiscal year 07-08. It has a tie-up with Mitsubishi Motors, while it also manufactures the 5-decade old Ambassador car.
