The much awaited two-door lifestyle car, Fiat 500, has been recently launched by Fiat.The car is introduced in a view to build an image in the Indian Market and unlike in Europe, the production of the car in India will be limited.
Rajeev Kapoor, CEO, Fiat India Automobiles Private Limited (FIAPL) said, “The Italian car manufacturer wants to sell about 100 of these fully loaded mini cars in India within one year. The car will be available in 11 colours and can be modified almost completely to suit a customer’s taste.”
With the price tag of Rs 15 lakh, the car is likely to target youth and car enthusiasts. Initially, Tata Motors will distribute the car through new Fiat dealer network in six major cities like - Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chandigarh and Pune. The exquisite compact car will be available in two variants Lounge and Sport, powered by the Fiat 1.3 Multijet engine, the vehicle is capable of generating 75bhp of power.
The company is also expecting a good publicity for the brand prior to the launch of sedan Linae in September and Grande Punto in December.
