All the three trims are exciting and appealing with luxury interiors, classy appeal, better performance and enhanced safety. The most attractive features of this new car are 2-zone electronic climate control, Vienna leather upholstery, 8 airbags and 16 inch Toronto alloy wheels.
The launch of Jetta will be followed by the production of small cars that will be rolled out from the Chakan facility. Apart from launching compact sedans and hatchbacks, the company is also exploring the possibilities of introducing commercial vehicles (CV) and hybrids in India.
Volkswagen is expecting a bulk of its sales from China and India. In these growing economies, the prospective car buyers are in search of fuel efficient cars because of the strict emission norms and high oil prices.
Volkswagen also plans to set up around 15 dealerships in India by the end of 2008 and around 100 by 2011.
