The Indian luxury car market is continuously experiencing more and more challenges from the past few years. The portfolio of luxury cars is growing amidst inflation affecting the auto sector. The luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz in order to combat its competitors, the Audi and BMW recently rolled out the new E-class variant.
To overcome the tough competitions and furnish the market demand, Mercedes-Benz has currently released two new E-class variants and has extended its product further with new E230 (petrol) and E220 CDI (diesel) models. The E 230 will be priced at Rs. 41.44 lakh, (ex-showroom Mumbai.) while the E 220 CDI will cost Rs. 38.99 lakh, (ex-showroom Mumbai).
Dr. Wilfried Aulbur, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India said, “The two new engines will further add to the popularity of the E-Class.”
Since the introduction of Mercedes E-Class in India, the company has sold more than 10,000 units. The product has become much more attractive with the additional standard features like new Bi-Xenon headlamps in the exterior coupled with a 3-way memory package and electrically adjustable steering wheel.
