The month of July was favourable for Hyundai Motors India. The sales of its passenger cars are increased by 28.2 % to 36,152 units in July, 2008, against 28,204 units in the same month last year.
The domestic car market sales reported a marginal growth of 0.4 % at 15,066 units in July, against that of 15,003 units in the same month last year.
According to the Hyundai Motors India (HMIL), “The exports for the month have increased to 21,086 units, against 13,201 units during the same month previous year.”
The company has sold 30,614 units of the Santro, Getz and i10; 5,504 units of the Accent and Verna; 28 units of the Sonata Embera and five units of its SUV Tucson in the month of July.
Mr. Arvind Saxena, HMIL Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales said, “It has been a challenging month for the entire industry with the combined effects of increase in interest rates, hike in fuel prices and inflationary pressures affecting market sentiments.”
When other car manufacturers are having tough time in the industry due to increase fuel prices and inflation, Hyundai has paved its way for success with good profits.
