Tata-Fiat Joint Venture Plans for a Makeover

By Motortrend India Staff   |   28 August,2008

The Tata-Fiat alliance is all set to change the look of their showrooms across the country. There are around 200-odd Tata dealerships all over India, out of that only 65 are Tata-Fiat combined dealerships.

These dealerships are in the course of altering their style and ambience. Tata Motors branding will be in blue with modified logo size and Fiat has chosen the European red look.

Some of the sources said that the idea of makeover was principally Fiat’s plan. The cost of the branding will be shared between the Fiat, Tata Motors and dealerships.

According to Tata Motors President, Mr. Rajiv Dube, “Just as companies launch new products, dealerships have to wear a new look. Both Fiat and Tata Motors are planning a slew of new car launches in the next few months.”

“Tata-Fiat will have a total of 65 dealerships across the country by November. By the December-January period, this should rise to 100, said Mr. Rajeev Kapoor, Fiat India Managing Director.”
