India’s leading car manufacturer, Honda Siel Cars India, has rolled-out all new Honda City. It is the third generation Honda City that has a complete new design, new engine, spacious interior and outfitted with a variety of active and passive safety features.
The all new sedan was unveiled by Takeo Fukui, President and CEO, Honda Motor Company, Japan. New Honda City is enhanced with a unique ‘Arrow Shot Form’ design that offers a brawny and striking look. The aerodynamic grill and spiky headlights present a distinctive sporty look. The car is now even longer wider and sturdier when compared to the existing Honda City ZX. It also has spacious trunk offering a one class above capacity of 506 liters.
The interiors are modified and now emerge outstanding with the stylish, spacious and comfortable lounge. The new Honda City is equipped with a 1.5L, 4 cylinder new generation i-VTEC engine that offers class leading power of 116 bhp and is expected to provide good fuel economy similar to the City ZX. The car will carry a price tag of Rs 7.7 lakh and Rs 8.9 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and also comes with a 2+2 year warranty and 24-hr roadside assistance as standard value for all City buyers.
The all new Honda City is available in two variants 1.5E (MT) and 1.5S (MT and AT) and offers six attractive colours.
It also comes packed with active and passive safety features including ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with Brake Assist (BA), Dual SRS airbags, pre-tensioner seat belts and G-CON (G-Force Control Technology) body with a crush-proof survival zone. The front body structure of the new Honda City ensures advanced pedestrian safety features.
Other amazing features of new Honda City include Advanced Integrated Audio System which is the world’s first car audio exclusive to digital media. It offers the buyers the freedom to incorporate with any of the newer technologies like iPods, MP3player, USB Memory, cell phone with MP3 Player. The audio system comes with steering mounted controls & separate remote control for driver’s convenience.
Bookings have already started at the Honda Dealers and the delivery would only begin from November 2008.
