Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) announces a strong growth sale of about 68% in the month of September 2008 with nearly about 46,222 units sold globally.
The company registers a high domestic sale of 23.9% accounting for 22,311 units and about 23,911 units of total exports. The growth chart of September 2007 witnessed cumulative sales of 27,517 units, accounting for about 18,009 units as domestic sales and 9,508 units as total car exports. In comparison to the sales figure of the same month in the previous year, September 2008 showed a hike of nearly 23.9% in domestic car sales and 151.5 % in exports.
Commenting on the high sales figure, Arvind Saxena, Sr. VP, Marketing & Sales of HMIL said that the key reason for the strong registered growth is the phenomenon response from the car consumers on Hyundai’s 10th Anniversary celebration. Further to that, the company has high hopes during the festive season and is optimistic to keep the momentum going on and on.
Hyundai registers a sale of 39,899 units in A2 segment comprising Santro, i10, and Getz Prime; 6,305 units in A3 Segment comprising Accent and Verna; 14 units in A5 Segment that includes the Sonata Embera and 4 units in the SUV Segment comprising the Tucson.
After so many weeks of sluggish car market, Hyundai today rejoices the upward trend in car sales.
