Maruti Suzuki to enter D-Segment in India

The largest car manufacturer of India, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, is planning to expand its product line for its consumers. The company is all set to enter the D-segment of the Indian car market. The new car model from the upper mid-size class named as Kizashi will be one of the first cars in its segment in India that will have four-wheel drive. Basically a crossover sports sedan propelled with an advanced four-valve turbo-fired 2-litre petrol engine that follow Euro V norms. The model will be competing with other major players like The Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla Altis, Hyundai Sonata, Skoda Octavia, and Volkswagen Jetta.


Maruti Suzuki is the most victorious car manufacturer in the A-segment and B-segment cars in India. All its models have been very successful and cater to a huge number of consumers. The model Kizashi was first showcased at the Frankfurt Motors Show in 2007 and made its grand appearance in 2008, Delhi Auto Expo.


However, the price of the new car model is not revealed officially, but it is expected to carry the price tag of Rs 10 lakh and above.
