Maruti Suzuki is all set to roll out its most awaited global car, A-Star, on November 19, 2008 in Indian car market. According to the company officials, the new car would roll out in three variants, LXI, VXI, and ZXI, with a price tag between Rs 3.85 Lakh to Rs 4.75 Lakh.
While the car would make its debut in India in the next few days, it will simultaneously roll out In Europe as Alto. In accordance to the European standards of safety and emission norms, the car meets the End of Life Vehicle (ELV) norms. As per these norms the car body and the car components should be reusable and recyclable. Conforming to these norms, it’s the first time that Maruti Suzuki has avoided the use of hazardous substances like mercury, cadmium and lead in the production of car parts.
However, the cars sold in India would not be stringent on these norms but those that are sold in Europe will be because these are applicable in Europe.
So, with a complete pack of style, safety, and power, the A-Star is now ready for launch.
