Delhi will see a new dawn on November 9, 2008, the coming Sunday as ING Renault F1 team will hold the F1 City Road Show in the city after completing similar successful shows in Johannesburg, Warsaw, Lisbon, Mexico, Paris, and Rotterdam.
The roadshow was invited by the organizing committee of the Common Wealth Games 2010 as a special part of the celebrations associated with the ‘700 days to go for the Common Wealth’.
The visual display will be open to public but some restrictions are imposed because of the current security conditions in the country. The show will be held for three hours starting from 1:00pm on Sunday. Every hour, the displayed cars will take a circle of 1.2km starting from India Gate lawn to the Man Singh Crossing.
The most stunning and rousing Formula One Car, R28s, will also be a part of this show. In addition, Renault also plans a display of vintage cars and stunt driving. Throughout the three hour programme, Renault aims to keep the interest and thrill of the viewers alive.
India has always been on Renault’s list for conducting such events. The company has initially made the planning in 2007 which was further supported by the sponsorship of Renault and ING who negotiated with the Indian Government to improve infrastructure and safety procedures in the country.
This show excises a great potential for both the sponsors as well as the Indian industry.
