Many car owners face a tough time when they find a niggling problem in the new set of wheels. This not only frightens the car buyers but also hampers the brand image of the car manufacturer.
To resolve such kind of issues, J.D. Power Asia conducts a survey, Initial Quality Study, in which the association received data from about 6,000 new vehicle owners across 20 Indian cities. The results of the survey are based on feedback from the new car owners who have bought their cars two to six months back.
As per the survey conducted in 2008, Honda Seil Cars India and General Motors have gained dominance over other big and established car players.
General Motors rejoiced double victory with its Chevrolet Spark positioned first in compact car segment and Chevrolet Aveo U-VA in the premium compact car segment. Honda is known to deliver the best quality cars with three of its cars in top position. Honda City tops the midsize segment, Honda Civic bagged the top position in the premium midsize segment, and Honda CR-V dominates the SUV segment.
Maruti Suzuki rejoices success with its Swift Dzire ranking first in the entry midsize segment. This time even Toyota has set a new benchmark with its successful Innova leading the MUV segment.
