Hyundai i20 Launched in India

Hyundai has finally launched the most awaited i20 in India. This new car will cater to the premium compact car buyers in the country. The car was already rolled out from the plant for export but today the introduction of the car in the Indian market has marked a significant milestone in Hyundai’s history.

On the occasion of its launch, Mr. H. S. Lheem, Managing Director of Hyundai said, “The Hyundai i20 that we launch today was first unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October this year. The overwhelming response to the Hyundai i20 from the automobile media in Europe continues to reaffirm the iconic place our products enjoy all across the world. Hyundai created a new era in the Indian compact segment by introducing the i10 in 2007 which significantly upped the benchmark for the compact cars. The i20 is manufactured to meet the increasing customer expectations in terms of styling, features, and safety to global standards. It is refreshing with its distinctive styling and we are confident that it will revolutionize the Indian automobile space offering an experience of a lifetime to discerning customers in the country.”

Hyundai i20 is designed with style and technical precision to meet high quality standards. The company has also focused on fuel efficiency by introducing the new i20 with a 1.2-litre, Kappa DOHC petrol engine that delivers a max power of 80bhp@5200 rpm. Available in three variants - Magna, Asta, and Asta within the price range of Rs 4.7 Lakh to 5.8 Lakh, the car is ascertained to redefine the small car segment.
