Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL) on Wednesday announced that it has sold 3481 number of units in July 2012 compared to 1593 units a year ago.
Nissan Sunny, the entry-level sedan leads the sales with 2436 units and Micra the compact hatchback posted sales of 1028 units. The rest comprised Nissan Teana, the luxury sedan (CBU), X-trail, the lifestyle SUV (CBU) and Nissan 370Z.
Commenting on this continuous month on month performance Mr. Ishida Takayuki, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd said, “This encouraging sales is giving us great confidence that Indian customers will appreciate when right products are offered at right prices. With this current sales growth trend, we are sure, will further expand with the launch of Evalia later this year helping us establish as a dominant player at the Indian marketplace".

Nissan showcasing its Urban Utility Vehicle, Evalia at the Delhi Auto Expo in January will further expand Nissan’s innovative product range in India when it goes to production at the company’s Chennai plant later this year.
