The All New Camry from the stables of Toyota has hit the roads today. The vehicle which used to be imported as a CBU from Japan will be assembled at TKM's plant at Bidadi, Bangalore. It is priced at Rs. 23,80,000.00 (Ex-showroom Bangalore) and is available in an array of four colors- white pearl crystal shine, silver metallic, attitude black and beige metallic.
The All New Camry is loaded with many features. It is powered by a 2.5 litre dual VVT-i gasoline engine that churns out 178.5 bhp @ 6000 rpm. The splendid engine is mated with 6 speed automatic transmission with a sequential shift. The exterior is appealing with automatic HID headlampswith washer, chrome rimmed front fog lamps and elevated hood for a majestic presence. The interior is luxurious and spacious.
While addressing the launch occasion, Mr. Hiroshi Nakagawa, Managing Director said," We are extremely happy to introduce the 7th generation, All New Camry. The vehicles are the latest addition to our fleet of domestically manufactured vehicles. This further reinforces the growing importance of TKM in Toyota's global operations."
Adding to this, Mr. Shekar Viswanathan, Deputy Managing Director, Commercial added, " With the local assembling of the New Camry in India, we are further expanding our manufacturing operations in Bidadi, Karnataka. The expansion comes with an additional investment and revenue generation for the state of Karnataka."
