Maruti Suzuki launched the much-awaited revamped avatar of Ritz Diesel in India on Monday amidst much hype and hoopla. The updated version of Ritz will be available in top-spec ZDi version as well.
Priced at Rs. 5.31 lakh onwards, the new Ritz Diesel brings to the table 52 exciting changes including refreshed front end design, new bumper and rear spoiler, new dual tone interiors, new fog lamp, multi-information display on instrument panel, new audio system with USB, electrically adjustable wing mirrors and body side molding. The top-spec ZDi diesel variant also gets stylish alloys, steering mounted controls and dual front airbags.
However, the biggest delight is the 10% hike in fuel efficiency that has been achieved by cutting down friction engine and calibration optimization.
During the launch, Manohar Bhat, Vice President (Marketing) Maruti Suzuki India said, “Numerous changes being introduced now will make the Ritz brand more vibrant. Most important, the new Ritz is more fuel-efficient with enhanced driving comfort. This makes it even more attractive for the customer and also gives us confidence to generate additional sales.”
Under the bonnet, the Ritz retains its 1.3-litre DDiS powerplant, which now delivers 23.2kpl according to Maruti.
The face-lifted Maruti Ritz will be available in three new shades namely Breeze Blue, Mystique Red and Granite Grey. The new Ritz has been priced a tad bit higher than the previous model. The LDi has been priced at Rs 5.31 lakh, the VDi at Rs. 5.64 lakh, the VDi ABS at Rs. 5.82 lakh and the ZDi at Rs. 6.23 lakh.
