Renault Scala is all set to hit the Indian roads on 7th September, 2012. French Automaker Renault will launch its much–hyped Scala at Hotel ITC Maurya Sheraton, New Delhi on Friday. The launch ceremony will be headed by Mr. Marc Nassif, MD- Renault India Pvt. Ltd. and will be attended by the senior executives from Renault India Management team .
Renault Scala appears to be the face-lifted Sunny, Nissan’s flagship sedan. It is loaded with many new features and is more spacious as compared to Sunny. The butch front, the chrome hexagonal grille, new headlamps and the new reflector makes this sedan very appealing.
The sedan will be launched in two engine options- petrol and diesel. The1.5 L XH2 petrol engine will churn out a maximum power of 97.6 bhp and its diesel counterpart, the 1.5 liter K9K turbo engine, will churn out a maximum power of 84.8 bhp. The engines will be mated to 5 speed manual transmission. The automatic engine will be launched later.
Scala sits on 15 inch alloy wheels. The interiors feature beige aesthetics with leather upholstered seats. The Scala is expected to be priced Rs 30000 to Rs 50000 more as compared to its cousin Nissan Sunny.
