If you have been thinking of buying a new car, this festival season could be a great time to invest into one. Hit by inflation, sluggish economy, steep fuel prices, and high interest rates, car giants like Ford India, Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Honda Siel Cars have come up with hefty discounts, special schemes and exciting offers to buoy up their sales.
Maruti Suzuki is offering huge cash discounts, free accessories and incentives worth up to Rs 30,000-35,000 on petrol models of Alto, WagonR, A-Star and Estilo. Additionally, it’s offering a discount of Rs. 25,000 on exchange of old cars.
Hyundai too has got an interesting line-up of offers up its sleeve. It has announced a rebate of Rs. 44,000 including gift cheques, loyalty bonuses/exchange offer on Hyundai i10, a discount of Rs, 24,250 on Hyundai Eon and Rs. 40,000 on Hyundai Santro, including free insurance.
With its competitors stepping up their games, even Honda has announced an incentive of Rs 15,000 to Rs 40,000 for its Brio includes free insurance and a cash discount while the City sedan has benefits of up to Rs 35,000.
Ford is too eying to slowdown the impact of its poor sales by offering a celebratory offer. The Endeavour will be available in “festival accessory pack” that includes Rs 50,000 benefit, including free insurance. The Figo compact model offers a rebate of Rs 25,000-28,000.
Homegrown auto major Tata Motors is also offering a variety of discounts and schemes for its passenger vehicles.
