Evalia The New Mantra For an Indian Family

The Japanese auto maker, Nissan has finally come up with a car that fits various purposes of an Indian family. Evalia, a compact MPV produced from the manufacturing plant in Chennai is Nissan’s next step to get closer to the Indian consumers and increase their market share in the country. Innova from Toyota has set a bench mark in this segment and Ertiga from Maruti Suzuki which was released earlier this year is doing well. Evalia’s features show that the company has come prepared to attract customers and get the best out of this product.

The 1.5 L diesel car is a 7 seater and is available in four different variants. The company seems to have emphasized more on mileage while keeping the power at levels that suit city commuting. The claimed mileage of this car is 19.3 Kmpl. The interior appears to be cozy with good room in first and second rows. Quality materials are used in the interior and some amount of cost cutting can also be noted in other areas to optimize the price of this vehicle.

Evalia is priced in the range of 8 to 10 lakhs. While Ertiga falls much lower than this range, the larger size Toyota Innova costs more than the Nissan’s product. Driving comfort, space and mileage can play key roles for Evalia while Nissan is contesting with its rivals.
