The effect of rise in fuel prices and economic down turn has not discouraged auto makers from developing new cars in India. Honda, Maruti Suzuki, Tata, General Motors and Mahindra and Mahindra have been working on new models and also have modified their existing models. The launch of six new cars from their factories is going to brighten up the festive season for consumers.
The new Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 has been on the headlines of auto news for the last few weeks. This model is the next hope for Maruti Suzuki to gain hold on the small car segment. Alto 800 has registered thousands of pre launch bookings. The car is expected to be released on October 16th, 2012.
Safari Storme and Manza Club Class are prepared for their debut from the court of Tata. Tata Safari Storme was seen in New Delhi auto expo earlier this year. The SUV has come out in a different style with some captivating looks. Manza Club Class is a face lifted version of the Sedan, the Indigo Manza.
Honda will be bringing its Brio with automatic transmission to Indian shores by this week. The automatic transmission version of Brio is already available in other Southeast Asian countries. Mahindra and Mahindra will be bringing out an SUV named Rexton with a new brand badge on October 17, 2012. The South Korean auto company named SSangYong was acquired by the Indian giant during the month of March this year. The new SUV will be sold as SSangYong Rexton.
After gaining enough share in the small car segment, Ford has planned to capitalize on Figo to further increase its portion in Indian market. The New Figo is another car that is expected to be rolled out this week.
The week is all set to be packed with festival celebrations and new cars launches. Some more upcoming car launches may happen later this month. With so many models in the basket, it would be a grand festival bash during October and November months this year.
