As a bid to step up its game, Maruti Suzuki has decided to launch an automatic version of one of its best-selling hatches, the Maruti Suzuki Ritz. The Maruti Ruzuki Automatic will be powered by the same 86 bhp producing 1.2-litre KB12 engine and will be mated to a four-speed automatic gearbox. The automatic Ritz will have ABS as a standard fitment.
The Ritz Automatic will deliver a fuel efficiency of 17.16 kmpl as compared to the 18.5 kmpl of the Manual gearbox version. Of late, a face-lifted version of Rtiz was launched in both diesel and petrol. However, the automatic gearbox will only be available in the petrol Ritz.
The petrol automatic version is likely t come with all the features available in Vxi and Vdi trim like immobiliser, rear spoiler, light off and key off reminder, fog lamps front and rear, side body molding and more.
Skyrocketing petrol prices have forced buyers to opt for diesel cars. However, the reliable, fuel efficient automatic Ritz petrol might force people to change their minds.
