Japanese auto bigwig Honda is all set to step up its game in the Indian car bazaar by launching its first ever diesel entry-level sedan, Amaze.
As per the reports, this Brio-based sub-four-metre saloon will be launched in Thailand and India by mid next-year.
Honda Amaze will be powered by a new, all-aluminium lightweight and fuel efficient 1.5-litre diesel engine. Honda has plans to plonk the same diesel engine in the Brio hatchback as well. Honda Amaze is likely to compete against the likes of the Indigo eCS, Swift Dzire and the upcoming sub-four-metre Mahindra Verito.
