Land Rover is all prepared to let go its newly modeled Range Rover to Indian market. Thanks to engineering team of Land Rover the huge SUV gets bigger and lighter for 2013. It gets an aluminium monocoque body as basic skeleton. The company has also increased the length of wheel base to give enough space within the cabin. But with use of aluminium in the body, the overall weight of new Range Rover reduces to considerable extent. The new Range Rover will be one big luxurious SUV competing with models European auto majors like BMW, Bentley, Audi and Mercedes Benz.
Land Rover has also come up with some changes in technicalities of the Range Rover. Terrain Response system which controls traction level, braking and torque distribution in current model based on different road surface turns automatic in the new model. The driver does not have to choose between modes when there is change in road condition. Range Rover does this by itself extending driving comfort for the driver. An eight speed automatic transmission system is also expected in the new Range Rover. The car is expected to be priced at around Rs 1.7 crore to Rs 1.8 crore.
