In a recent press meet held in Bangalore, Continental India revealed that it will be furnishing Mahindra’s upcoming electric car, the Reva E2O with Basic Function Controller (BFC), immobilizer and remote keyless entry. The Reva E20 will be the new generation electric car to roll out of Mahindra & Mahindra’s mill.
Continental India’s Basic Function Controller comes with a wide range of scalable solutions that can be used to install body electronics features in cars and enabling OEMs to upgrade effortlessly to meet future requirements.
According to Torsten Kreiling, Head of Body & Security India business unit, “A very interesting discovery in the emerging markets is that customers are constantly looking for advanced features, across vehicle segments. By using platform products and a scalable architecture approach, Continental makes it possible for OEMs to invest in an advanced electrical & electronic system implementation, making sophisticated car body feature deployment a reality.”
