Maruti Sells Over 1 Lakh Cars In November

The 2012 festive season was a special one for biggest car manufacturer of the country. The company that introduced Maruti Suzuki 800 Alto which created anticipation among car buyers, months before its launch, has managed to gain 12 percent increase in overall sales of the month of November 2012 when compared same month of previous year.

Looking through facts and figures it is notable that, it is the compact sedan and compact hatchback cars that have contributed to this growth in sales. Small cars like Maruti 800, Maruti Suzuki A Star and Maruti Suzuki Alto saw fall in sales in comparison to previous year. Maruti Suzuki SX4 and Kizashi, the higher end sedans of Maruti Suzuki portfolio, were comparatively sold in lower numbers. The exports from auto major increased during the month with about 12,318 units being exported as opposed to 8,902 units during the corresponding month of previous year.

Automobile manufacturers are bringing in new festival offers to empty their inventories by the year end. With tough competition put forward by rivals, Maruti Suzuki India has greater responsibilities to act in a direction and make sure the company remains on top in auto market.
