AMW Bags Two Awards at CII Event

AMW Motors Ltd., India’s third largest heavy commercial vehicle manufacturer, was conferred two award in different categories at the recently held CII National Award 2012 for Excellence in Water Management function held in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

It bagged awards for the “Most Useful Presentation” and the “Most Innovative Rain Water Harvesting Project”. The decision was a unanimous one taken by a 10-member jury who acknowledged AMW’s effort in Rainwater Harvesting Project. AMW harvested Rain Water for Process and Domestic water, thereby facilitating Zero Discharge of the resource. The competition was represented by Mr. Yuvaraj Manickam, Mr. Deven Adesara and Mr. Anubhav Apoorva.

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has launched the award: ‘Excellence in Water Management’ award to recognize and award “Excellence” in Water Management in Industries and to enable sharing of information by the water efficient companies. About one hundred and sixty eight companies took part in the competition out of which only forty companies were short-listed. Depending on the presentation made by these companies, the panel of judges chose the winner at the end of the second day of the award competition.
