Maruti Suzuki SX4, the compact sedan from Indian automobile leader is ready to come out with new face for 2013. The brand that sells highest volumes of cars in India has undergone a steep decline in sales of SX4 models since past few months. The executive automobile was not as successful as other small cars of the brand like Alto or Swift. With some changes to its exterior design, the company is looking forward to strengthen its presence in sedan segment.
The new Maruti Suzuki SX4 may get a shiny chrome grille and boldly styled front bumper for its face. Turn indicators integrated in side rear view mirrors may also be a part of gadget package. Further, there are some changes expected in design and functionality of headlamps. The premium vehicle would leave other exterior and interior features unchanged and will be available in same petrol, CNG and diesel engines.
The company is planning not to make huge changes in price tag, thereby intensifying competition in sedan segment. Maruti Suzuki SX4 has current price range of Rs 7 lakh to Rs 9.5 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi). With stiff competition from home rival Honda and other European brands like Skoda and Volkswagen, the new facelift would be an attempt from Maruti Suzuki to gain ground in mid-size sedan segment.
