Masaki Asano Appointed As Deputy MD Of India Yamaha Motors

The Japanese automobile manufacturer, Yamaha, made an announcement of appointing Mr. Masaki Asano as its new Deputy Managing Director for its Indian subsidiary. Mr. Masaki Asano, who has been working with the company since 1981, will be taking care of Sales and Marketing group of the company in the country.

Mr. Masaki Asano has served the company and its subsidiaries at various levels and in different parts of the world. He has worked in top levels of the firm in Italy, Portugal and at the headquarters in Japan. Prior to his appointment to the IYM, he was the President of Yamaha Motor Vietnam.

Mr. Hiroyuki Suzuki, CEO and Managing Director, India Yamaha Motors, spoke about the occasion saying, “On behalf of the India Yamaha Motor management and Board of Directors, I would like to welcome Mr. Masaki Asano as the Deputy Managing Director of India Yamaha Motor. Mr. Asano’s last assignment was in Vietnam as Managing Director of Yamaha Vietnam and has valuable experience in amplifying the Sales Volume in the market. I am confident that Mr. Asano will repeat the same feat here as well and further strengthen the Sales & Marketing team at India Yamaha Motor. His experience of over 3 decades in different markets globally will certainly help put together some great ideas that will work wonders for the company not just today, but even in the years to come. Mr. Masaki Asano, Deputy Managing Director, IYM, spoke about his appointment saying, “India is the most exciting and the fastest growing market in the world and hence a key market for Yamaha Motor Co. Taking over the role as the Deputy Managing Director of IYM presents an exciting challenge and I look forward to bringing my experience to the table to ensure that we meet our targets and develop the market even further. I look forward to this exciting assignment the company has given me.”
