One of the largest car manufacturers in India, Tata opened its new showroom at Prabhadevi, Mumbai few days ago. The company has set new standards for customer service through this sales outlet. The car outlet is spread across 4,400 sq ft and has specialties like video wall and the accessory wall. The video wall feature has big video screens which can be operated through tablet PCs. These walls serve as information sources where customers can get details about their favourite cars. The merchandising wall has T-Shirts, perfumes, alloy wheels and other accessories used in automobiles.
The car shop also has a lounge, cafeteria and play space for children. The auto maker has offered Wi-Fi connectivity in the space to help customers browse while they have visited the automobile outlet. Mr. Ranjit Yadav, President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata spoke during the inauguration of this new showroom saying, “Customer centricity is the hallmark of Tata Motors. As desired by today’s Indian motorist, the showroom offers best-in-class service in a stylish and premium format to enhance the buying experience of our brands.”
Tata has about 1000 outlets spread in different parts of the country. The company has plans to start new showrooms in metropolis during the start of 2013. The motor big brand also has plans to bring in 800cc version of the hatchback, Nano. It is expected to come out in petrol and diesel models and may have a price tag of around Rs 2.5 lakh.
