The US-based satellite communication solutions provider, Hughes Communications has joined hands with Maruti Suzuki to train the network of employees and dealers of the auto maker. The automobile maker will be using the satellite based communication technology from Hughes Communications to give ‘Live’ training to its key personnel working at its plants, offices and dealership outlets.
This digital programme will include training sessions on HR, technical and product module topics.A studio at Gurgaon plant will be the center from where the session will be transmitted to various points of Maruti Suzuki which includes offices, plants and car showrooms. The broadband company provider will be using a Ku-band Satellite network, which is a high-power network, to make these interactive sessions effective. About 30 network locations of the auto giant will be taking the benefit of this new programme. The company believes that such training programmes will help in developing the skills of their man power.
Mr. Partho Bannerjee, President and MD, Hughes Communications India spoke about this new project with Maruti Suzuki, saying, “We are now seeing many companies with large branch networks take advantage of the Hughes satellite broadband solution to create a robust training infrastructure that spans the entire distribution ecosystem from employees to partners”. After the dark clouds of violence and strikes at Manesar plant which happened last year, this programme of Maruti Suzuki is a sure sign of positive development.
