After having a successful run in 2012, the luxury car maker, Audi has launched its top-notch SUV Q5 in new form. The marque has brought changes in performance and looks of the Q5. These refreshed models now carry a price tag in the range Rs 43 lakh to Rs 49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The car is available in both diesel and petrol variants. The company is aiming to make its leadership position stronger in the luxury SUV segment through this release.
The changes on Audi Q5 start right from its nose where it gets chrome lining on its vertical slit grille. The bumper looks stylish with slashes and carries chrome surround on its circular fog lamps. The circular exhaust tips now have flat bottoms which give it an unparalleled look. The tail gate and bonnet are made of aluminium material. The steering wheel has got newly shaped spokes. Some chrome finishers on control buttons of dashboard enrich the cabin space. Audi has also tuned the engines of new Q5 to deliver higher power. The 2.0L TDI and the 3.0L TDI engines now deliver 178 hp and 246 hp of power respectively. The 2.0L TFSI petrol engine also gets a power hike at its crank.
Earlier this week, Audi had spoken about its sales target for 2013. It had told that, it is expecting 40 percent of its sales to come from Q range SUVs. The company may roll out the facelift version of its R8 later this year. Further, there will be few new sales outlets of Audi, coming up in the country during 2013.
